Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 September 2026

This site is our wedding invitation. It is run by us personally, for one wedding. We are not a business, we sell nothing, and we share nothing with advertisers.

What we collect

When you fill in the RSVP form we store what you type:

We keep one reply per email address. Sending the form again with the same address updates your earlier reply rather than adding a second one.

Signing in with Facebook

This site asks you to connect with Facebook before you can view the invitation, so that it stays among family and friends. We ask Facebook only for your public profile. From that we receive and store your Facebook user ID, your name and the URL of your profile photo. If you also grant permission for your email address, we store that too.

We never receive your Facebook password, and we cannot post anything or read anything else on your account. You can remove our access at any time from Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.

So that we know who has seen the invitation and whether sign-in is working, we record each sign-in attempt: whether it started, succeeded, was cancelled or failed, along with the time, the IP address it came from and the browser's user-agent string.

Cookies

When you sign in we set one cookie holding your name, email and photo URL, signed so it cannot be altered, plus a short-lived cookie that protects the sign-in itself. Both are removed when you sign out. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers on this site.

Where it is kept, and who sees it

Everything is stored in a private database on our own server, hosted with Amazon Web Services in Singapore. Only the two of us can read it, through a password-protected page. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for anything other than planning our wedding.

How long we keep it

Until the wedding has passed and we no longer need it — roughly three months afterwards — at which point the guest list and the sign-in records are deleted.

Seeing or deleting your information

Email us at marjun.famini.villegas@gmail.com from the address you used, or with the name you RSVP'd under, and ask us to send you a copy of what we hold or to delete it. We will do it and confirm by reply, normally within a few days. There is no form to fill in and no account to close.

Deleting your information also removes any record of your Facebook sign-in. If you only want to disconnect Facebook, you can do that from Facebook's own settings, linked above.

Questions

Write to marjun.famini.villegas@gmail.com and one of us will answer.
